Object of this thesis is to explore the perceptions of parents with different cultural and linguistic background for school celebrations that take place in kindergarten, as well as the participation of their children in them. Also, investigates, the perceptions that the teachers of a preschool have and the practical approaches being taken on the issue of commemorative anniversaries, while in their classroom they have mixed student population. A survey is carrying out, in which it considered the views of parents and kindergarten teachers for the crucial issue of school celebrations. Especially with the conduct of this research is a attempted to investigate whether the diversity of parents and therefore their children (linguistic, religious, cultural), is a cause of exclusion and assimilation from the teacher or it’s an incentive mechanism for the emergence of their particular characteristics. Our engagement selection with the school celebrations that are taking place in the field of kindergarten and include students from different cultural backgrounds was a challenge for us. In order to reach this important issue, we proceeded to the examination of the situation in multicultural kindergartens in Thrace, especially from the optical of parents, where attracts a large proportion of immigrant students in the educational community.
