Representations of disability in picture – books for children (Bachelor thesis)

The purpose of this project is to investigate the representations of disability in picture – books for children. The first part is about some theoretical issues, as the relationship between Ideology and Children’s Literature, Disability and how this is reflected in books for children and the role of illustration as well. In the second part of this project, we will analyze six picture – books for children dealing with different kind of disabilities (deafness, blindness, autism, physical disability, dwarfism)
