At first, the history of teacher training is described in Greece mentioning the existence of the academies, which had been educating teachers. Then the teachers training college is described, which had been operating until 1967. After that the function of the Faculties in Education is mentioned and all the reformative effects- changes, which the governments carried out, are analyzed. Furthermore, for each of the educational institutes the admission requirements and the curriculum are thoroughly described. The second chapter focuses on the teachers’ training on the aforementioned countries. The final chapter emphasizes on a comparative approach between the two countries
