Formal analytical programmes for the lesson of history from the period of political change till the period of reform 1996-1997 (Doctoral thesis)

The subject of this particular thesis is the examination of the analytical programs of the history course for the general High schools with the beginning of the Change of regime until the reform, known as Reform of Arsenis (1996-7). Given the fact that the a.p constitute main official educational texts, the most suitable method of studying was considered the explanatory and this was adopted. The first chapter includes a short review of the history of the scientific field of studying the a.p and it presents the basic introductive significances and categories that will be used afterwards in the analysis and evaluation of the a.p. The second chapter presents the historical frame in the field of education, in which the a.p are drawn up and published. The third chapter includes the theoretical background of the method of studying and analyzing the a.p and it mentions the reasons that led to the particular way of approaching the texts. The fourth chapter includes the OFFICIAL JOURNAL OF THE HELLENIC REPUBLIC and their parallel analysis. The fifth chapter is dedicated in the speech that is articulated at the period of examination, mainly through the educational and pedagogical magazines, but also in the political speech, which is articulated mainly via the newspapers. In the sixth chapter are presented concisely the proceeding of more important meetings of institutions (and their special committees) of the Ministry of Education which had the responsibility of the syntax of the a.p for the period that is examined, so as the environment to become more comprehensible (ideological, scientific, political), in which the individuals who were involved in the decision-making for the a.p take decisions but also the specific conjunctures do the same. Finally, are presented the conclusions that result from the analysis of the texts of the OFFICIAL JOURNAL OF THE HELLENIC REPUBLIC per category of analysis and per question, as these had been defined in the third chapter
