Cultivation and development of audiovisual literacy. The Ethnological Museum of Thrace in front of the lens (Master thesis)

The aim of this study is the imprinting of the original knowledge, opinions and attitudes and possible changes made to them after participating in educational program in media education. Participants were students and graduates primary teachers of education departments of the Democritus University of Thrace. The educational program was implemented at the Ethnological Museum of Thrace in order to connect the methods of museum education in the audiovisual literacy and the use of museum objects to audiovisual productions. This intervention has highlighted the importance and the need for relevant initiatives that take into account the important socio-cultural role of the media content and ICT’s in communication, disseminating information and values
