Parents of children with special educational needs: recording experiences (Bachelor thesis)

In order to better understand what is now called Special Education, we must look at its roots in the history of the human being. In particular, reports have been made of what is today called physical or mental disability that we have been experiencing since prehistoric times. We will still see that in Greek antiquity the attitude towards disability was contradictory. In the middle ages, however, the doctrines of the demon-stroke came back. So we can see that by the 18th century thousands of people with mental or physical disabilities were considered to be wizards and were punished accordingly, with more frequent punishment being killed in the fire. Ending up to our work, we tried to pursue our above-mentioned goals with interviews with parents with children with disabilities of various categories, and conclude that each child has its peculiarities either positive or negative, but most importantly there is interest and support from the family, school and wider environment
