Σχεδιασμός, εφαρμογή και κατηγοριοποίηση περιεχομένων Κινητικής Αγωγής στο νηπιαγωγείο ως προς την αξία τους σε σχέση με τη Φυσική Δραστηριότητα (Master thesis)

Various studies have found reduced rates of Physical Activity among pre-school children both within school and out-of-school settings. At the same time, the sedentary behavior of children 4-5 years old complements high rates of screen time in the afternoon while there is an increase in childhood obesity and other illnesses. The purpose of this study was to design a proposed guide of Movement Education and categorize them in terms of their "value" in steps and calories consumed by children during the action. The categorization of activities has also been based on three Fundamental Movement Skills, which are expected to be cultivated. Twenty-six (26) children participated in the study, in the framework of a "Psychomotor Education" program for nine (9) months. Omron HJ-113 pedometers were used to evaluate Pedometry Physical Activity (PPA). In addition, anthropometric measurements of the physical characteristics of the participants were performed. The results of the survey were conducted through the SPSS program. The findings of the survey revealed two groups of categorization of intervention activities, high Physical Activity and caloric intake (HPACI) and moderate Physical Activity and caloric intake (MPACI).
