PURPOSE: The purpose of this study is to investigate the knowledge, attitude and views of the escorts of people with stroke, regarding the factors that influence their choice in rehabilitation after hospitalization stroke. METHOD-SAMPLE: To implement research used qualitative methodological approach, namely “Phenomenology”. Data analysis was done by the method of the Thematic Content Analysis. The sample were 12 people, aged 18 years and older. For the collection of data, the method of individual structured interview face to face was used, with open ended questions. Collecting research data through interviews lasted from September to November 2016. RESULTS: No interviewee had no prior sufficient knowledge or information about the Rehabilitation Centres. Information, received mainly from the internet and from the hospital health professionals where hospitalized patients. The views of all the people on what skills are needed to restore, vary. The role of the physician in any specialty, appears in only three of the twelve interviews. Overall, the respondents replied that the restoration, either at home or in an organized center, has a high economic cost. As regards the recommendation to third, interested, people with a similar problem, the common component of all who participated in the study is the quality of the professional to take on the incident. For all study subjects either had chosen rehabilitation center or at home, the psychology factor displayed in prominent position and influence, than it appears, significantly their final decision. CONCLUSIONS: Our study showed that there is a lack of information. An important role is the existence of qualified staff in dealing with the stroke and that significant contributions have graduate education programs.
