Dynamical modeling in biological networks (Master thesis)

The aim of this work is to investigate the dynamical response of biological networks using a collection of mathematical and computational tools. We follow two different modeling strategies: In our first approach we investigate the analogy between the basic component of a biological network and the basic component of an electronic circuit where in the second approach we analyze a proposed biochemical model in order to study the dynamical behavior of two autoinflammatory diseases, the Familiar Mediterranean Fever (FMF) and the Cryopyrin Associated Periodic Syndrome (CAPS). Our analysis is based on using elements of theory of differential equation, dynamical complex theory and theory of Chaos, computational theory and theory of automata. Our attempt is to investigate the perspectives of representing biochemical networks in the same language with that of the electronic integrated circuits and therefore the theory of computation.
