Τhe effect of Drama Play and Dramatization on the expression of children's emotions in preschool and early school age (Bachelor thesis)

The present work aims to present the effect of Drama Play and Dramatization on the expression of children's emotions in preschool and early school age. For its implementation, an individual questionnaire of quantitative method was selected, which was distributed to students, current teachers and teachers of extracurricular environments in the city of Alexandroupolis. In the first part of the study, the theoretical framework is realized, in which the Drama Play and Dramatization are presented and analysed as educational tools as they are the field of study that we deal with. Additionally, the Inquiry Drama is examined, while in the second part of the work, the research framework is developed, where the methodology is analysed. The methodology exhibits the sample of the respondents who were 130 in total, the results of the research are presented, which were encouraging, as most of the participants use Drama play and Dramatization in their educational process and are aware of their beneficial properties on children's mental health and the help they offer so that they can externalize their innermost emotions. Finally, suggestions are given on this topic. The first proposal is for the questionnaire to be distributed to a wider range of respondents in order to cover a wider range of teachers across the country and it is also proposed for the results to be partly analysed by experts not only in the field of education but also in the field of psychology, psychiatry and sociology
