The present work entitled Intercultural education in Greece as a practice of integration of refugees and immigrants in the Greek kindergarten: utopia or reality? aims to present the history of the refugee - immigration crisis in Greece from a general point of view with emphasis on how it affected and influenced the field of education - preschool education, in particular. The main purpose of this paper is to present how intercultural education was applied in Greece especially for the field of pre-school education, as a practice for the smooth integration and integration of refugees and immigrants in the Greek kindergarten, aiming to answer the question of whether intercultural education in Greece as one of the practices of integration of children with immigrant and refugee background in the Greek kindergarten is a utopia or reality, through the review of relevant sources.
