The present paper deals with the changes that were taking place in the education of women during the 20th century and their attendance at different levels of education. In the first part we see how essential the actions of the First Greek Educational Conference, the Educational Society, the Educational Group and the Higher Women's School were. The establishment of the Girls' Schools contributed even more to the need to educate girls. Furthermore, the continuous educational reforms rocked the educational system throughout the 20th century, with the most important ones being the ‘13, '29, '64 and '74. Thus, the debates on the university education of women become more intense. Finally, Kallirroi Parren and Rosa Imvrioti were among the leading personalities which actively engaged in women's education. The second part of the report consists of qualitative research, conducted through interviews of 6 women, on their education and the prevailing views on their studies at different levels of education. Their desire for education gradually found a response, both from the State and from the social environment, with parents actively helping alongside the young women.
