The purpose of this study was the control of school-age boys and girls differences in aerobic capacity. The study involved 120 children aged 7-9 years from municipal schools of Komotini. For evaluation of the aerobic capacity test was used 20m shuttle run, as shown, measured in the measuring beam of fitness "DEMOFIT". Measured weight and height to compute body mass index (BMI) and sexual maturation in the test Tanner. For the measurement and evaluation of aerobic capacity software used "Bitworks Team Beep Test". The control of BMI and maturation showed no difference between boys and girls and so the study included all children in the sample. To test the effect of gender on the performance sample was divided into two age groups of 7-8 years, and 8-9 years, they studied separately in order not to simultaneously examine the effect of age . For the data analysis performed two separate analyzes of variance for one factor (One-Way-Anova), one for each age. The results showed no differences between boys and girls in the estimated value of VO2max at the age of 7-8 years. However the greatest age of 8-9 was a slight difference in favor of boys .It appears tobe confirmed the findings of the literature indicate that at an early age have not yet physiological conditions to differentiate the performance between the sexes, but noted that they grow as children start and appear some differences, probably due to different activities being handled by both sexes.
