3Δ τεχνολογίες στην ανάλυση αξιοπιστίας και κίνδυνου (Master thesis)

Γαρίδης, Κωνσταντίνος/ Garidis, Konstantinos

The present work is an evaluation of a fast-track digitization method for manufactured products and industrial assets, implemented on-demand and during a time-framed visit. The aim of this work is to study the photogrammetry results of collection process (photographs), when digitization complements and supports the role of a shopfloor visit and does not necessarily constitute the primary task. Initially, photogrammetry background and methods are discussed and reviewed, capturing the main application domains and most recent examples of its industrial use. Next, the digitization of selected objects into 3D models is explained, as well as their analysis using appropriate software. Each object is described and displayed in the shopfloor environment, followed by stills from the produced 3D models. Finally, we discuss and evaluate the results of the proposed technique and propose the contexts and tasks that could benefit from their use. The fast-track nature of the employed digitization method and the photorealistic quality of the results are examined as suitable components for deliverables of engineering asset management and reliability processes.
