Strokes are extremely common in the general population and if they are not a cause of death, they are very likely to cause problems later in life which, if treatable, the patient will have to deal with. Cognitive dysfunction and memory impairment following the diagnosis of stroke are common symptoms that have a significant impact on the quality of life of surviving patients. Stroke patients have a high likelihood of developing both emotional and cognitive dysfunction after a short period of time, approximately one year, after the stroke has occurred. In this thesis, an attempt is made to provide a comprehensive and comprehensive presentation of stroke, the risk factors that can contribute to its occurrence, the changes it brings to the patient's life in terms of emotional but especially cognitive level, and how the cognitive problems that arise can be restored so that the patient can return to their daily life as it was before the stroke.
