Cerebral ischemia is a consequence of the blood supply disorder due to narrowing or blockage of the brain vessels. It is the third cause of death and the first cause of disability. The appearance of a Vascular Stroke, whatever age it occurs, can cause many permanent or temporary problems concerning the patient's move, the difficulty in performing his daily functions, his psychological and even his cognitive state. It represents a change not only for the patient's life but for their own family too and it is a challenge to try to get the patient to return to his old rhythm and the quality of his life to improve. Support groups play a very important role in redefining the patient's li fe and enabling him to stand on his feet. This thesis aims to highlight the benefits that support groups can provide to patients with Vascular Stroke. To achieve our research goal, we carried out a literature review. Data were collected from the base of P ubMed. In addition, in order to develop research questions on in depth practice which are based in evidence (evidence based) , the frames PRISMA and PICOS have been implemented. Overall, 7 articles fulfil the criteria and have been included in this review. The presentation of the results is divided into five main units: Chapter 1 is reported to the elements and characteristics of the Vascular Stroke. Chapter 2 refers to the intervention of support groups and the benefits provided to patients through their participation in these groups, whi le Chapter 3 includes the presentation of a qualitative comparative study on the benefits of these groups and its analysis. In Chapter 4 follows a discussion about the studies analyzed, while in Chapter 5 presents the conclusions of this work through the a nalysis and processing of the data collected.
