Over time, the levels of dysfunction of elderly people increase, so their participation in physical activities is a factor of good health. The pandemic period and the measures have been an obstacle to improving their physical condition and maintaining their good health. The present research aimed to examine the effect of the pandemic on the physical activity of the elderly and to test whether and to what extent their dysfunction was affected compared to the period before COVID-19. 100 elderly people, aged 65-89, of both sexes who live in the prefecture of Attica participated in the survey. The Kihon Checklist questionnaire was used to evaluate their functionality, while the International Physical Activity Questionnaire was used for their physical activity. The questionnaire was completed twice: Once for functionality before the pandemic and once during the pandemic. From the study of the results, it appeared that during the period of COVID-19, the degree of dysfunction of the elderly increased and the levels of physical activity decreased. The research can be used in the future and carried out in a larger sample of the population, in different regions of the country, while there is the possibility of some intervention problem and to compare the data and any changes that will occur.
