Programmable toys and early childhood Education (Bachelor thesis)

The undergraduate thesis is about programmable toys in education and also reference is made to the field of robotics and children’s teaching with STEAM education and how technology is used in these contexts. The thesis describes and analyzes the different categories of programmable and robotic toys that are used in the field of teaching and explains the role of IT in early childhood education and the goals it assumes for children in accordance with the study program. In addition, a brief reference is made to special education since technological progress and digital media have a positive effect on children with special needs and learning difficulties. The thesis consists of seven chapters organized into subsections. There is also an appendix about the application of a programmable toy in the kindergarten classroom.
