Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease is a disease that has an increased prevalence with significant personal and social consequences especially in the societies ofthe West. In this work, an attempt is made to approach this disease, starting from the theoretical foundation of the pathophysiology, the mechanisms of action and the symptomatology that ultimately burdens the daily life of patients. quality of life and sleep of patients. More specifically, a systematic review of the literature is carried out in order to seek in a structured and methodologically adequate way the modern knowledge of the literature on the application of treatment regimens that in recent years have emerged as more effective for the treatment of the disease. Therefore, the effectiveness of double bronchodilator regimens is investigated, not in terms of improving the classic clinical markers of COPD, but in improving the quality of life and sleep, according to the experiences and daily life of patients, compared to the same drugs under individual administration. Finally, through this research process it emerges that double regimens of bronchodilator drugs show better results than the administration of each drug individually in terms of improving the quality of life of patients, while in terms of sleep quality there is inadequate clinical control in the current literature. , which signals the need for further research in the field in the future.
