Αssessment of sleep disorders in COVID-19 recovered patients (Master thesis)

COVID-19 pandemic marked the 21st century, becoming one of the most important health crises experienced by humanity on a global scale, forever changing the health reality. The purpose of this work is to demonstrate whether and to what extent COVID-19 pandemic affected the psychological state of the patients, focusing on their sleep and mental health. The applied research method was quantitative, and the research tool used was the questionnaire. 300 patients with COVID-19 participated in the study. The results of the research showed that COVID-19 affected the psychological state of the affected patients, especially those who had been treated in hospital units. The research also demonstrated the positive correlation between the psychological effect of patients who had contracted SARS-CoV-2, the cause of insomnia and the manifestation of symptoms of anxiety, depression, and fatigue.
