This dissertation addresses the issue of the usefulness of Environmental Education Programs in Secondary Schools and the extent to which they contribute to students' awareness of environmental pollution issues. Environmental programs are among the best answers to environmental degradation. Their connection with the method of field study and the project, methods that support the active-exploratory learning process, their interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach and their continuous evaluation lead to excellent results in terms of cultivating environmental culture in students. The environmental problem of acid rain, then, the project method and an environmental education program of the 2nd High School of Alexandroupolis of the prefecture of Evros is presented and evaluated, which was realized during the school year 2014 with the participation of 15 students of the 3rd grade of High School in collaboration with a teacher. The program lasted 4 months (February – May). It focused on acid rain and its title was «Acropolis calls for help»
