Profile and needs of sports tourists in Greece (Master thesis)

In recent years, sports tourism has been of great interest to us in Greece and new research is constantly being carried out with the aim of its development the purpose of this research was to investigate the profile and needs of sports tourists in Greece. The research was carried out during the winter months of 2009-2010 in places where European and non-European sporting events were held. The research sample consisted of 190 people, Greeks and foreigners. The poll was conducted using a questionnaire which was distributed to the participants/spectators in Greek, English and German. To analyze the data, descriptive analysis, frequency analysis, t test analysis for independent samples were performed. From the t test analysis, carried out to investigate the demographic profile, it was found that the participants were university graduates, with full professional employment, single and with an income of 20,000-60,000 euros.
