Η παραίτηση του εργαζομένου στο Ελληνικό και Βρετανικό δίκαιο (Doctoral thesis)
Λεοντίδης, Χρήστος/ Leontidis, Christos
This work attempts to analyze the provisions concerning resignation in the legal systems of Greece and the United Kingdom. The text is divided into two parts. The first part elaborates on the direct termination of the employment contract, which takes place at the initiative of the employee, and the second part analyzes resignation due to the conduct of the employer. Despite the different origins of the two legal systems, a comparative overview of the scope of application of the provisions regarding resignation is made and the relative case-law is also presented. EU law brought about a specific harmonization through the incorporation of the Directives concerning the protection of employees in the event of a transfer of the undertaking, but this has also implications for the overall recognition of the specificity of the employment contract and for the treatment of the constructive dismissal claims too.
