This dissertation constitutes a literature review and further incorporates the development of a pedagogical proposal for the design and construction of a tactile museum Kit intended for children both with and without visual impairments. The focus of the museum kit is on fostering preschool children’s understanding of the human body’s internal structure, grounded in the philosophy of the New Curriculum for Early Childhood Education proposed by Penteri and colleagues (2022). Acknowledging the gap identified in existing literature with respect to this subject matter, the impetus for this proposal emerged, aiming to promote playful, inquiry-based, and experiential learning. The aim of this work is threefold. First, to foster intrinsic motivation in preschool children with regard to museum experiences through the museum kit. Second, to promote the inclusion of children with visual impairments through activities that emphasize tactile perception, which is equally beneficial for sighted children. Finally, to restructure the misconceptions preschool children may have about the interior of the human body.
