The present study explores the perspectives and experiences of primary education teachers regarding the contemporary demands of the school classroom and the ways in which these are reflected in everyday educational practice, focusing on teaching choices, assessment practices, and the use of digital media. The research was conducted through qualitative semi-structured interviews with primary education teachers. In parallel, the study examines teachers’ perceptions of traditional and alternative forms of assessment, as well as the challenges they face in implementing differentiated teaching and assessment practices. The findings indicate that teachers recognize the importance of differentiated instruction in addressing diverse learning needs. At the same time, they highlight constraints related to time limitations, available resources, and professional development opportunities. Furthermore, concerns and contradictions emerge regarding assessment practices, as traditional tests continue to be widely used despite positive attitudes toward alternative forms of assessment. Finally, the study underscores the potential of digital media as supportive tools for teaching and assessment within the framework of everyday educational practice.
