heal.abstractΗ παρούσα εργασία διερευνά τις απόψεις, τις στάσεις και τις πρακτικές των δασκάλων που υπηρετούν στη Μειονοτική Εκπαίδευση της Περιφερειακής Ενότητας Ροδόπης αναφορικά με τα σύγχρονα περιβαλλοντικά προβλήματα. Σκοπός της μελέτης είναι να αναδείξει πώς οι εκπαιδευτικοί αντιλαμβάνονται την περιβαλλοντική κρίση σε τοπικό και εθνικό επίπεδο, καθώς και να καταγράψει τα εμπόδια που συναντούν στην εκπαιδευτική διαδικασία. Η έρευνα υιοθέτησε μικτή μεθοδολογική προσέγγιση. Αξιοποιήθηκαν ποσοτικά δεδομένα από 76 ερωτηματολόγια και ποιοτικά δεδομένα από ημι-δομημένες συνεντεύξεις με 10 εκπαιδευτικούς της περιοχής. Η συνδυαστική ανάλυση επέτρεψε τη σφαιρική κατανόηση του θέματος, λαμβάνοντας υπόψη το ιδιαίτερο πολιτισμικό και εκπαιδευτικό πλαίσιο της Θράκης. Τα αποτελέσματα κατέδειξαν ότι οι εκπαιδευτικοί ιεραρχούν διαφορετικά τις περιβαλλοντικές απειλές ανάλογα με τη γεωγραφική κλίμακα· ενώ η κλιματική αλλαγή θεωρείται μείζον εθνικό πρόβλημα, σε τοπικό επίπεδο κυριαρχούν οι ανησυχίες για τις πυρκαγιές, την αποψίλωση και την ξηρασία. Παρά το υψηλό αίσθημα ατομικής ευθύνης και τη θετική στάση απέναντι στην Περιβαλλοντική Εκπαίδευση, εντοπίστηκαν σημαντικά εμπόδια, όπως η έλλειψη επιμόρφωσης, χρόνου και υλικοτεχνικών υποδομών. Συμπερασματικά, η μελέτη αναδεικνύει την ανάγκη θεσμικής υποστήριξης των εκπαιδευτικών, ενώ προτείνει την αξιοποίηση της τοπικής πολιτισμικής ταυτότητας ως οχήματος για την καλλιέργεια περιβαλλοντικής συνείδησης, συνδέοντας την αγάπη για τον τόπο με την προστασία του φυσικού περιβάλλοντος.el
heal.abstractThis study investigates the views, attitudes, and practices of teachers serving in Minority Education in the Regional Unit of Rhodope regarding modern environmental problems. The aim of the study is to highlight how educators perceive the environmental crisis at both local and national levels, as well as to record the obstacles they encounter in the educational process. The research adopted a mixed methodological approach. Quantitative data were utilized from 76 questionnaires, alongside qualitative data from semi-structured interviews with 10 teachers from the region. The combined analysis allowed for a holistic understanding of the subject, taking into account the distinct cultural and educational context of Thrace. The results demonstrated that teachers prioritize environmental threats differently depending on the geographical scale; while climate change is considered a major national problem, concerns about fires, deforestation, and drought dominate at the local level. Despite a high sense of individual responsibility and a positive attitude towards Environmental Education, significant obstacles were identified, such as a lack of training, time, and material infrastructure. Conclusively, the study highlights the need for institutional support for teachers, while proposing the utilization of local cultural identity as a vehicle for cultivating environmental consciousness, linking the love for the place with the protection of the natural environment.en
